Work day 3

whew! each day was pretty good. Today I started talking and began to understand the situation inside the office; what to do, what not to do; what to say, what not to say.. Oh well, I have time. noone's rushing me.

Hey! kiky got her visa! wohoo! she's going to Guang Zhou to be a maid for her ce2. We've been suffering from lack of each other these days. Suddenly the world seems odd, like there's something missing from the picture.

My dad's blood? its improving, wbc went down from 11.2 to 6.8 in 3 days. Now we are short of medicines. FEDEX? no they are not very cooperative in sending the medicines. lots of documents to fill. :(

ok i'm out.

Desktop show-off

I've just reformat my new laptop with Windows Vista Business with SP1. It now has a fresh look, very clean, very cool I thought. Microsoft Office is 2007, the browser is Google Chrome. The background was created by me (with a camera) and the dock at bottom is Object Dock.

Pressing the power button will put the computer into hybernate mode, hitting the power button at the start menu will shut down the computer. Closing the lid will NOT put the computer to sleep.

Average start-up time is generally less than 15 seconds. Sweet.

Cell No.1 and Work day 1

So.... its my fourth day back here in Makassar. And I just attended my first cell group meeting here yesterday, and officially in the office today.

The cell group, it was KTM, and it was very KTM (the way they structured the cell.. and songs.. etc...). And also.. this first cell I attended was "cell dewasa". guess what?!! yes, they are definitely not young. They are mostly pretty much as old as my parents! haha and it was soo funny. "Eh, kau anaknya Erna yah?" then the whole room was filled with "OOOoooooohhhh" and everyone just started asking me 10 questions at the same time. Turn out that the whole cell was really as old as my parents. In fact, most of them are my mom's "teman arisan"!! so... they pretty much knew my parents.. one of them was even my mom's ex-classmate.

Well, the cell was great. Excellent, in fact. The fir-woman (the woman who brought firman) was really good. The discussion was about Matthew 6, about Jesus telling the people to pray in secret, give in secret, fast in secret, etc; and your Father who find you in secret will reward you. We had a short meal after that, and it was so funny, it was my first time in this group, and they are really those "tante-tante" type that everyone has been talking about. No wonder the priests always have stories about them.. hehe

Oh, I will be attending the "cell remaja" too this week. They said that this cell is not realy well formed yet, but its growing well. We'll see this saturday :)

Part 2: work..
Argh today i have to work again. I was officially introduced, and i think i might only start "really" working after lebaran. Everyone's fasting around here, and won't be able to get tired, or speak too much. And also, there's not much to do in the office itself. so i guess most of the stuff that i will need to do is building relationships with the existing clients.

Part 3: Dad?
Oh, my dad, his blood condition wasn't very correct again when we took the blood test last monday. And the doctor seemed to be concerned too. The blood report said that the Platelet (trombosit) went down as low as 116, and white blood cell still increases to 11.2k. Dosage of the medication have been increased.

Please continue praying for him.. and for us as a family. Somehow, my faith told me that these days will be over soon. New days will come, where things will change, and to Lord our God will reign in our family.
